 We chose Invacare
walking aids because we believe that they offer the best
quality at the best price available. A standard walker has a light wheeled aluminum or steel frame that can assist a person
when walking or standing, but usually the person has to lift the unit to
move forward. A rollator, or rolling walker, has wheels that swivel for ease of turning without having to lift.
They all
have either a locking loop brake, a push down brake, or a reverse braking system. The handle height is adjustable to
ensure optimum fit, comfort, and safety.
A rolling walker or rollator can help improve the quality of life for a disabled, elderly, handicapped, or infirm person with limited
mobility. The light weight, sturdy construction, and safety features of these
units can make a big difference in the
ability of a mobility impaired person to go shopping, walk to dinner, or any other activity that might be too much of a
challenge otherwise.
Most three and
four wheel units are available with a comfortable seat for resting and a wire basket for
storing items. Most models have a padded backrest. Weight capacity, width, seat height, and wheel size varies.
